Subjective networks are one of the central subjects of Community Treatment. This two-part brief presents some data on the structural characteristics of personal networks in order to have some benchmarks for describing the characteristics of subjective networks. The second part presents data from an exploratory study on the structural characteristics of subjective networks. The study has been conducted in countries in Asia, Latin America and Europe.

The stigma associated with drug use and addictive behaviors affects in a transverse way in people's lives, making an impact on physical and mental health, the ability to find and maintain a job, to find and maintain a home, in their relationships social and self-concept. On the other hand, the stigma delays the search for adequate treatment and is in itself a barrier to access and stay in treatments.

The 6th Freemind International Congress, organized by the Freemind Mobilization and ISSUP Brazil, was held in the city of Águas de Lindóia / SP, Brazil from December 4th to 7th, 2019.

The event was held at Hotel Majestic, which has one of the most complete and versatile event centers in the state of São Paulo, less than 160 kilometers from the capital. The material promotes the development of intervention strategies for a comprehensive and networked approach to problematic substance use in areas of deprivation of liberty. A total of 35 participants took part in this training that was organized by WHO and UNODC together with PAHO, SEDRONAR, Hospital der Mar, and the generous support from the U.S. State Department Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) on 11-13 November 2019, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

This training aimed at providing technical guidance for health care providers managing women from conception to birth and during the postnatal period, and their infants, on the identification and management of substance use disorders in pregnant women.
