The Vienna NGO Committee on Drugs (VNGOC) together with the UNODC Civil Society Unit (CSU) held a webinar on 10th March 2021 discussing the International Standards on Drug Use Prevention. The webinar included opening remarks from Mirella Dummar-Frahi from the CSU and Jamie Bridge from the VNGOC, a presentation by UNODC expert Giovanna Campello on the International Standards on Drug Use Prevention, two civil society panellists (Dayana Joseph from Fourth Wave Foundation and Eric Siervo from CADCA), and an open Q&A session.

National Release of 'Listen First' in Slovenia

‘Listen First’ and ‘The Science of Care’ materials have been translated into Slovenian and are being released nationally in Slovenia by the Institute for Research and Development (UTRIP) through its ‘Prevention Platform’ programme, which is supported by the Ministry of Health.

The materials will be broadcast by all nationally and locally relevant TV stations and featured in many newspapers in 2021, as well as on social media. Adverse Childhood Experiences are traumatic circumstances or events that occur during childhood. Research that has examined ACEs has pointed to the link between these traumatic events in childhood and the increased risk of negative physical and mental health outcomes throughout the life course.
