The Real-Time Science Lab in the College of Health and Human Development is hiring a full-time Human Research Technologist to assist with laboratory activities and coordination with other research sites in clinical trial. The Real-Time Science Lab is housed in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies and is led by Dr. Timothy Brick.

 

The primary project of work is a multi-site clinical drug trial focused on recovery from opioid use disorder. Other work in the lab revolves around adaptive data collection and intervention methodologies, with a focus on human development and recovery from addiction. Opportunities for co-authorship on papers will be available. This position will collaborate closely with the research team and receive regular mentoring on clinical trials and related research activities.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • monitoring and quality control for data collection

  • metadata management and report generation,

  • coordinating data collection with other research sites

  • creation and delivery of training materials, scheduling and reporting at intersite meetings, and generation of reports to other principal investigators, site staff, and funders

  • ensuring compliance with regulatory measures such as IRB and DSMP, and will advise on changes to the protocol and the development of additional protocols

  • supervising student researchers in the laboratory as needed.
