Clinical Social Worker-Addiction

This is a Clinical Social Worker position at the Center for Dependency, Addiction and Rehabilitation (CeDAR) Outpatient Clinic on the Anschutz Medical Campus. The candidate will primarily work in the IOP program, with a strong emphasis on group therapy. Candidate may be required to work 2-3 evenings per week until 8:30pm, with a possibility of working (4) 10-hour shifts. Candidates must hold CO license. Previous addiction treatment experience strongly preferred.

 

Job Duties

  • Develops individualized treatment plans, provides care/case management and directs appropriate disposition. Supports all activities with appropriate documentation.

  • Provides group and individual counseling services using accepted psychotherapeutic models and interventions, including integrative healthcare options. Assesses, collaborates and coordinates patient’s care and discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge with colleagues in Care Management and Medical Social Work and other members of the care team.

  • Coordinates psychosocial care as needed with third parties and community agencies. Initiates psychiatric holds and Emergency Commitments as appropriate. Responds to referrals, incidents, or problems, provides coverage as assigned, assists staff with cases as needed.

  • May verify benefits and supports financial counseling. Orients patients and their families to the requirements, policies, and goals of the proposed treatment program. May provide clinical supervision for LCSW, LCSW candidates, LSW; as well as MSW, MFT, PC, and other students and support staff in relevant disciplines as assigned.

 

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work
  • State licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Preferred

  • Previous addiction treatment experience strongly preferred.
